Meet the Babcock’s: Dancing their way to Nationals!

This incredible family of dancers is getting geared up for the highly anticipated national dance competition, and they approached us to capture some of their best moves in the beautiful Garland District here in Spokane. And did they deliver some stunning pictures for us to enjoy! These bright, bubbly young dancers are all members of the Julie’s Competitive Edge Dance Academy here in Spokane, and they are ready to execute their mission. The Babcock family in this shoot consisted of the Gabriel, Katrina, and Teagan. Each of the kids has a unique talent that makes them an integral part of their dance team. Maria, their mom, is not only their biggest cheerleader but also their guiding force.

The shoot a late Saturday session when the sun was shining bright, and the streets of the beautiful Garland district were empty except for this talented family and our photographers. They danced their way around the streets, striking impressive poses and executing their best moves, undeterred by curious onlookers. The Babcock’s dressed up in bright, coordinated costumes and performed in front of a few of the exquisite murals in the neighborhood. The photos captured their love for each other and their passion for dance.

As a team, the Babcock’s have faced some tough competition. They have spent countless hours rehearsing and perfecting their routines for the national dance competition. Their coach, Julie, has been with them every step of the way, making sure that they are well prepared and confident.
